Ms. Blain was a very influential teacher in my life. Her kind heart and loving soul made teaching me simple and heart warming. I will never forget seeing her when I did my elementary school reunion as a high school student. A wonderful woman.

I am 27 years old and Ms. Blaine was my second grade teacher. I never got a chance to tell her that she was the best teacher I have ever had and she forever changed my life. Ms. blaine made me feel special and influenced me to get into writing. I never kept in touch with her through out the years but she often crossed my mind because of how much she influenced me. I guess this is my good bye to her and my thank you as well....thank you Ms. Blaine for being so great and making me love myself and have confidence. I wish every teacher was like you. Although I was 8 years at the time....20 years later I still think about how great you were as a teacher. You will always be remembered in my mind as the best teacher I have ever had,

I knew Wanda only a brief time, through DAR and UDC, but I will miss her. She had a way of making you feel welcome and at ease. My prayers are with her family.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Wanda at Coker for 17 of her 42 years there, and knowing her after her retirement as well. She was a great friend, and a joy to know. We shared a love of plants, and I learned a lot from her. She is very loved and very missed.

I knew Wanda through USD1812. She will be missed.

When I started teaching at Coker in 1984 Wanda and I became friends. She helped me tremendously at the beginning of my career as a teacher. When she retired she gave me her desk and I always think of her when I sit there. We have seen each other over the years since her retirement and our friendship is still the same. She was a great friend.

The Texas Society, USD1812, is saddened by the passing of our friend, Wanda Blaine. Our sympathies go out to her friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

I know Wanda through her sister, Linda, who visited her Roemer cousin, Mary Belle, in Port Lavaca after meeting together at the William P Rogers UDC program. Wanda will certain be missed by her family.

Aunt Wanda, there are so many memories of you when I was a child. Taking me to Magnolia & Rockport beach so you could tan. Making flash cards when I started 1st grade,teaching me to embroider Linda's pillow cases (they looked bad compared to yours but you alway said "good job", and your awesome tuna casserole. Love ya lots..

Sorry that I never met Wanda. I'm sure she will be missed by all.

I had Ms. Blaine as a teacher at Coker 40 years ago and I still remember her to this day...she left that much of a posistive impact on me....may she rest in peace and I wish to send my condolences to her family.

Wanda was a wonderful friend. We had so much in common. She & I taught 2nd grade, were dog lovers, and belonged to the same organizations.
