She was born on May 9, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Hermann Daymon Baumann and Alta Louina Baumann. Wanda was raised in Menard, Texas, where she graduated from Menard High School in 1952.
In 1953, she married Charles M. Burns, and together they had three children. Wanda devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, listening to live country music, and feeding her deer. She also loved spending time at the family ranch in Uvalde, Texas.
Wanda will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, loving, and stylish woman. She had a special love for clothes and was always dressed to the nines—even in her later years. Wanda was as sweet as the sweet tea she enjoyed every day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marshall Burns.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Marvland D. Burns and Charlan G. Burns, her daughter, Donda S. Burns, her daughter-in-law, Debra J. Burns, as well as her granddaughter, Samantha M. Burns.
