

Warren Larck was born on August 10th, 1923 in London, West Virginia and grew up in Charleston, West Virginia.
He joined the Army at the age of 19 and served in the Infantry during WWII.
In 1945 he married his sweetheart, Evelyn and fathered four children.
Choosing to continue to carry out his duty in the Army after the war, Warren was promoted to the rank of 2nd LT. in 1951, then went on to fight in the Korean and Vietnam War.
By the end of his military career in September of 1968 he had been awarded 21 metals and numerous other commendations including the Bronze Star Medal for Valor and is one of but a few thousand men in our nation's history to receive three awards of the Combat Infantry Badge.
In 1969 he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX and became a Baptist Minister and went on to serve as pastor of several Baptist churches in the San Antonio area as well as founding the Kirby Area Ministerial Alliance.
Retiring from the ministry in 1987 he became the Mayor of Kirby, TX in the month of April and served the community until May of 1991.
During his lifetime he was a member of organizations such as The Scottish Rite, Blue Bonnet Lodge #1219 where he was a Past Master, VFW #2059, Kirby Lions Club, and OES.
He spent the last years of his life in retirement always giving to those who needed his love and support without ever asking for anything in return.
Preceded in death by two of his children, Beverly McGehee and Steven Larck.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn; son Mike Larck and his wife, Melba; daughter Debbie and her husband, Gary Rogers; grandchildren, Michelle Shrout and her husband, John, Kimberly Aldrich and her husband, Chris, Greg McGehee and his wife, Sandy, Michael McGehee, Christine, Stephanie, Melissa Rogers; 7 great grandchildren.
He will be missed and remembered by family and friends as a husband, father, grandfather, and a provider that never stopped giving.
