

He is survived by his fiancée, Linda Styles; sisters, Kay Butler and Alice Hughes; brothers, Michael Lester and Oran (Sonny) Lester; former wife, Doris; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Weldon enjoyed traveling and as a winning contestant on "Wheel of Fortune" he was awarded prizes including a trip to Switzerland. Some of his interests included betting on horse racing, gambling in Las Vegas, listening to easy jazz, especially Beegie Adair, Kirk Whalem and George Winston. He enjoyed watching classic TV especially "The Andy Griffith Show", NBA Basketball, In Touch Ministry with Dr. Charles F. Stanley and 700 Club with Pat Robertson. Most of all he enjoyed growing plants and vegetables, especially tomatoes and squash. He also enjoyed the numerous dogs he had, especially Scooter, Spencer, Shelby and Bubba.
His jobs ranged from working with disabled adolescents, working construction, pet grooming, massage therapy and selling medical insurance.
The family wishes to thank Compassus Hospice nurses Barbara and Tia as well as good friends Rex Shelton and Donnie Nance for their support.
May Weldon rest in peace and continue his gardening skills in Heaven.
