Wilberto Vega-Burgos, passed away into the arms of our Lord on December 24, 2014. He was born on August 14, 1938 in Juncos, Puerto Rico. Wilberto proudly served 20 years to his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and numerous medals. He was a long-time resident of San Antonio and was an ordained minister in the community for many years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Celia Vega; daughters, Evelyn Vega Hernandez and Carmen Vega; grandchildren, Jade Vega and Alexis Babula; numerous nieces and nephews. Wilberto loved life and lived to the fullest. "Papito" was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed very much. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with an evening prayer service at 6:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
