William Geen Barnet passed away at the age of 89 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on August 19, 1929 to Albert and Gladys Barnet in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Carol Ann and nephew: Jeff Barnet. He is survived by his brother Donald Barnet (Ruth Ann); Nephew: Barry Barnet (Linda); great-nephew: Corben (Christa), Caleb (Kathi), and Benjamin.
William was baptized at Baptist Temple Church on August 25, 1940 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1947. After his graduation he worked in Auditing in the Controller Department of the National Bank of Commerce where he later retired in 1987. He worked actively in his church where he married the love of his life in 1960. Then in 1967 he was ordained a deacon at Baptist Temple and served as the Church Treasurer until 2005. William was a loving husband, brother and friend he will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will begin on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
