

William Bill Chebahtah passed away March 31, 2016. He was born on December 5, 1934 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Thomas David Chebahtah and Emily Weckahwoonard. After graduating from high school he attended Oklahoma State University where he studies animal husbandry. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served from 1958-1963. Received training at Camp Pendleton, Ca. and was stationed in Okinawa. After getting out of the Marines he attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and received 2 degrees. He worked at Fort Sill until moving to Texas and working at other bases in Texas and retired from Camp Stanley. He is a descendant of Chief Wild Horse and Billy Chevato and is full blood Comanche. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Clifford Don, sisters; Cleo and Marian. Survived by his wife; Cruz, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. William enjoyed all sports, especially watching the Spurs, college basketball and football games. He also enjoyed doing family history research as a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked at the LDS Family History Center on St. Cloud. Bill will be truly missed by his family and friends. A visitation begin on Thursday, April, 07, 2016 at 5;00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Friday, April 08, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. church service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
