Col. William Leo Cogley, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 81, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Bill was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Martin and Loretta Cogley. He graduated from St. Thomas College and Stanford University and served 28 years in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer. He also worked for the CIA and DIA before retiring to Texas, where he enjoyed vegetable gardening.
Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pamela Preston Cogley, his children, Catherine Cogley, Christin Cogley, and Jeffrey Cogley, his daughter-in-law, Cindy Poling Cogley, his grandsons, Aiden Cogley and Kameron Cogley. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Darlene Milller Cogley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A committal service with military honors for William will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
