William Sheridan Dillow

He was preceded by two loving spouses, Roxie Villemain Dillow and Marjorie May Dillow.

William is survived by his loving children, William Gerard Dillow (spouse - Sharon Cagle Dillow, dec’d), Mary Ann “Chickie” Backhaus (spouse Gary Nicholas Backhaus), and Michael Gerard Dillow (Spouse – Diane Cliver Dillow). William also leaves behind grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss him a lot.

After 4 years in the Air Force William spent most of his adult life working for IBM (when mainframes took up a whole room). He was also a lifelong member of MENSA (a high I-Q society).

Pallbearers: William G. Dillow, Michael G. Dillow, Travis Dillow, Keith Backhaus, Adam Griswold, Neal Morris, Denise Griswold, with honorary pallbearer Gary Backhaus.

Special thanks to Kumbah Turay (his Family Tree care giver) and Pat Brock (angel on Earth) both of whom took such great care of dad in his last year of his life.

A visitation and rosary for William will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
