The Reverend William A. Johnson, age 93, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in San Antonio. Pastor Bill succumbed after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He served as pastor at Christ Lutheran Church in Amarillo, St. Paul Lutheran in Dallas, St. Paul Lutheran in San Antonio, and founded Epiphany Lutheran Church in Houston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily; brother, Robert; and sister, Kay. Bill is survived by children, Mona, Ross (Roxanna), Nita (Mike), and Keith (Julie); eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Ed and Ron; and sisters, Gerri, Joan, Shirley, Nancy, and Annette. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.

Pastor Dave Murillo and Pastor Carlos Boerger will officiate. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, San Antonio.
