

William B. Pease, a dedicated family man and accomplished professional, passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on August 11, 1930, Bill as he was known led a life full of service, innovation, and love for his family.
Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force for 13 years, where he worked as a codebreaker - a role that was vital to the defense and security of the nation during a time of great technological change. His service laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for computers, a field that was still in its early stages of development. After his military service, Bill continued his work in technology, joining USAA as a computer programmer at a time when such careers were not yet commonplace. He maintained a fondness for technology and continued to utilize computers until his final days. After retiring from USAA he worked at UTSA as well as taking classes there. After retiring he discovered he had a talent for painting.
He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Shirley June Pease, and his second wife, Oleta A. Madry Pease. He was also predeceased by his infant son, Leon Patrick Pease, infant daughter, Pamela Pease, and son James Lawrence Pease.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Martha Stanley, Patti Marquis, and Evelyn Foster; son, Michael W. Pease; as well as numerous grandchildren, Martha’s children Joshua Stanley, Matthew Stanley; Patti’s children Daniel Marquis and April Marquis Lugo; Evelyn’s children, Fallon Evan Foster, Sarah Foster and Patrick Foster; James L. Pease’s children, John Paul (Pease)James, Crystal (Cantrell) Simmons, John Flores, Joseph Flores, Jaime Lynn Pease; Michael W. Pease’s child, James Joseph Ramirez. Great-grandchildren, Megan Stanley Bolles, Jacob Stanley, and Emma Stanley; Katelynn Stanley, Ethan Stanley, and Savannah Stanley; Madison Marquis, Colton Marquis, Lucia Lugo and Gemma Lugo; Logan Kaeding-Foster and Amber Swartz; Jose and Hannah; Madeline Cantrell, Cameron Cantrell, Drew Cantrell and Annabella Cantrell; Raina Flores; Max, Sophia and Emma; great great grandchildren , Hixton Stanley Bolles, Reiley Stanley Bolles; and three belonging to Cameron Cantrell.
A man of integrity, wit, and unwavering dedication to his family and country, Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His passion for learning, loyalty, and kindness, sailing and art have left a lasting impact on his family and all who had the privilege of working with him. May he rest in peace.
