Col Patterson was born in Temple, TX January 17, 1921 and spent the greater part of his life engaged in both Civil and Military Aviation. He was a Veteran of World War II and Vietnam.
Prior to his Retirement, he was Chief of Maintenance of the 435th Military Airlift Wing at Rhein Main Germany.
He was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Order of Daedalians.
He is survived by his wife Hortense; one daughter Deborah Patterson of Marina Del Rey, California; sons, William Jr. of Dallas, Brent Patterson of San Antonio; granddaughters Kathleen and Elaine Patterson of Dallas, Casey Lauren Patterson of San Antonio; grandsons James Patterson of Dallas and Connor Patterson of San Antonio.
