William Eugene (Bill) Upton, Jr.

Bill was born January 22, 1971 in Freer, Texas and lived in South Texas while working as one of the most respected "Gas Compression" Technicians in the industry.

Loved and admired by his Wife, Cheryl Upton and all of his children, he leaves this world respected for his dedication to them as well as his Parents, William Eugene Upton Sr. and Linda Sue Upton.

Bill's Sisters, Sue Ann Lambert and Amanda Murphy write, "Bill could always be found in the South Texas brush, hunting deer and/or camping in "Twin Hills" with his friends. Bill also loved fishing and felt more at home on the muddy banks of the Nueces River than anywhere else.

Bill's life would seem too short to many, but those who knew him understand that his quality of life far exceeded the quantity of time in which he lived. Bill never forgot the importance of family and leaves his family and friends with many fond memories. Bill will be dearly missed, yet never forgotten."

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Robert William Upton, Bonnie Mae Upton, Albert Levi Simmons and Elsie Simmons.

He is survived by his Wife, Cheryl Upton. Sons, Dillon Upton & Wife Shayla, William Upton III, Kaden Shubert, Matthew Sherwood & Wife Angela, and Christopher Sherwood. Daughter, Brianna Ashley Hysell. Parents, William Eugene Upton Sr. and Linda Sue Simmons. Sisters, Sue Ann Lambert and Amanda Murphy & Husband Randy Murphy. Grandchildren, Benjamin Sherwood and Emma Sherwood. Nieces, Jessica Ann Stutts & Husband Steven, and Heather Sue Frost & Husband Lane. Nephew, Darin Maxwell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

On Wednesday, August 5th at 10:00 AM, a service will be held in the Porter Loring chapel, 1101 McCullough Ave., San Antonio, TX followed by interment at 3:00 PM in Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, TX.
