Mr. Vernor was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
He retired after 28 years as a Bookkeeper at the San Antonio Stockyards.
He was a member of the Anchor Lodge No. 424 A.F. & A.M.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joe Towers.
Survivors: wife, of 68 years, Winifred Vernor; sons, William Hardin Vernor, Jr. and wife, Bonnie, Comfort, TX, and George Rea Vernor; granddaughter, Kimberley Murray; great grandsons, John and Jason Murray; sisters, Betty Towers, all of San Antonio TX, and Minnie Von Nessen and husband, Harold, Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Ella Kellogg of Portland, TX.
