Bell and Stephanie I just found this now I didn't know that my wonderful friend Willie Brock is gone I have planned to come to San Antonio to visit I am so very upset right now I can't even hardly tell you. I want you to know that I loved and respected him so much he was my friend my sergeant major and such an inspiration to me during my years in the Marine Corps. SgtMaj Willie Brock was one of my instructors at Prairie View A&M University. As such, he was an outstanding role model who provided a foundation on which my success as a Marine Corps officer was built. He was truely a motivating force who brought light to the spirits many of our youth and to this world. Please accept my deepest sympathy. God's blessings to the family.

Willie James was my favorite cousin. The times we were together over the last few years our hearts bonded one with another. Just last Wednesday July 21 my sister and I spoke of taking a trip before summer was over to Texas to visit our family. We agreed that I would contact Willie and Robert and she would contact the other family members. Willie will be dearly missed. I pray these would will comfort you:

I am sorry I was not able to make it to the service. I decieded I wanted to remember my brother as I last saw him during the Christmas holidays, all cheerful and happy. I will miss him and my prayers are with the family.

I had the the pleasure of serving with the SgtMaj in Hawaii from 1984 to 1985 with C Co, 1st Bn , 3d Marines. Later we met in Okinawa when he was the SgtMAj for 9th Marines. We finally hooked up at the Ft Sam Golf Course, where we enjoyed many splendid rounds. He was and will always be my friend and mentor. God Bless the Brock family.

I do not know where to start, Willie was a nonbiological brother, a best friend. We met in 1990, and from the start were Buddies. The Lord says, it is selfess to get upset when he takes a sole, because he is now in a better place, however the void is not replaceble. I loved this man and his family, and only look forward to the great reunion in heaven. Willie was not only a great friend , but a great teacher of life.
