Willie J. Rodriguez

Willie J. Rodriguez, age 86, of San Antonio, died Monday, August 11, 2008.

Mr. Rodriguez was a long time member of Granaderos De Galvez y Damas founding chapter 1976 serving as their Governor/President and Chaplain for many years. Los Granaderos De Galvez y Damas objective is to promote Spain's contribution to the American colonies during the American Revolution.

He was a very active member of La Trinidad United Methodist Church and was a choir director and congregational song leader for many years. Willie loved to exercise, swim and spent many afternoons with friends at the gym. He loved to sing Spanish Lullaby's and Hymns. Willie operated All City Realty and Insurance Company since 1975.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; son, Henry Rodriguez and Trudy G.; daughters, Suzanne Ashby and Michael all of Austin, TX, and Helen Rodriguez and Ricardo of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Shelly Rodriguez, Christopher Angelus Rodriguez, Jonathan Jacob Rodriguez, Angelica Dominguez Rodriguez; sister, Rosa R. Garza; brother, Arturo Rodriguez and Janie all of San Antonio, TX.
