He enjoyed volunteer work and Wilmer was a member of the San Antonio Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldolph and Hilda Mangold and brother, Harold Mangold.
Wilmer is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes Kiolbassa Mangold; sister, Maxine Haby and husband, LeRoy; sisters-in-law, Cecilia Sibson, Valeria Mlynarczyk and Charlene Kiolbassa as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
