

He was born on August 9, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas.
Wilton was a lifelong rancher and devoted family man. He joined the military on February 13, 1945 and served in the 63rd Infantry Regiment as a staff sergeant. Wilton was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal, the Good Conduct medal, the WWII Victory medal, and the Army of Occupation medal.
On December 25, 1946 he was honorably discharged and returned to ranching.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen; and brother, Leslie.
Wilton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen; his sister, Ellyn Calmbach; his son, Ronnie; and his daughter-in-law, Pam; 4 grandchildren and their spouses; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilton's family would like to thank Grace Hospice for their care and support.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Interment will follow in Classen Family Cemetery, 19300 Classen Crest, San Antonio.
Pallbearers will be James Steubing, Walker Steubing, Steven Seibold, Paul Rakowitz, Charles Pfeiffer, and Milton Willmann. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jordon Steubing, Bennett Brock, Dylan Pfeiffer, Daniel Willmann, and Jakob Willmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Germania Farmer Verein and the Comal County Junior Livestock Show Association.
