Winifred Witchell Pfiester

Winifred "Winnie" Witchell Pfiester went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 9, 1918, where she resided her entire life. On November 9, 1939, she married Chester M. Pfiester at Grace Lutheran Church. They had celebrated 72 years of marriage at the time of his death in 2010.

She graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1935. She was a talented homemaker, and seamstress whose home was decorated by many of her creations.

She was a lifelong devout member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on the Alta Guild many years. She was also a proud member of the Brackenridge High School "Mid-Thirties Alumni Association".

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester M. Pfiester; parents C.C. and Anne Witchell; sister Bernice Bass and brother Clifford Witchell. She is survived by a sister-in-law, three nieces, 14 God children and many friends.
