

Nancy was born in Fort Stockton, Texas to Bonifacio L. Gonzales and Aurelia Nieto Gonzales on December 28, 1931. She graduated from high school in Fort Stockton and received her LVN certification from nursing school in San Angelo, Texas. She married David Amado Rodriguez on June 28, 1953, and together they raised four children. They were married for seventy-two years.
Her legacy of love, compassion and faith lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Bonifacio, and Aurelia Gonzales; siblings, Robert N Gonzales, Bonifacio N Gonzales Jr., and Emma Gallegos; daughters, Rebecca Hooker, Roxann Chavez, and grandson David P Rodriguez.
Nancy is survived by her husband David Amado, son Richard (Linda), daughter Rose (David). Surviving siblings, Nicanor (Nick) Gonzales and Frank N. Gonzales. Grandchildren: Christina Brezovay (Steve), Michael Rodriguez (Melinda), Catherine Hernandez (Matthew), Briana Ishida (Eric), Jaclyn Crouch (Brian), Victoria Gonzales (Lance), Olivia Barker (Coleman), Jessica Hernandez, Sara Moser (Daniel), Lauren Chavez, David Chavez (Jessica), and Christopher Perez.
Great grandchildren: Jonathan Brezovay, Eleana Brezovay, Samuel Ishida, Lorenzo Hernandez, Miles Ishida, Hazel Crouch, Sabrina Hernandez, and James Moser.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 152 Florencia Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78228. Committal service will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209 at 1:15 pm, shelter #2.
The pallbearers are: Michael Rodriguez, Christopher Perez, Jonathan Brezovay, Gilbert Gallegos, Richard Gonzales and Jaime Gonzales.
Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Rueben Rodriguez, Edward Gallegos, Nicanor N. "Nick" Gonzales and Frank N. Gonzales.
