Yolanda Alvarez

Yolanda is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Joe O. Alvarez, Jr who with him was the co-owner of Alvarez Printing Inc.

She is also preceded in death by her mom, dad, her brother Joe, half-sister Yolanda, and her aunts, uncles and cousins.

Surviving Yolanda are her daughters, Yvonne P Alvarez, Lorraine Alvarez-Scott, Deborah Alvarez-Reiling (Robert), Janet Alvarez-Lee (Robert), and Elizabeth Alvarez Johnson (Tony); and her half-brother, Jose of Puerto Rico. Yolanda was blessed with nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Yolanda was a proud 1947 graduate of the San Antonio Vocational and Technical School (now Fox Tech). She instilled in her daughters the importance of a high school diploma at a minimum.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in mom's honor to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of San Antonio or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
