She was a faithful employee of CPS Energy for 39 years until she retired in 2022. Yolanda was full of determination and drive. This showed in her work ethic as she used her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to perform her job to the fullest.
Yolanda was always smiling and would give her last dime without hesitation to help a friend in need. She was a master at winning radio station contests and would often share those winnings such as tickets to SeaWorld, Fiesta Texas, or the Zoo with her friends.
She thrived on keeping her house in order whether it was cleaning, mowing the lawn or taking care of her husband. She made friends wherever she went; the grocery store, department store, or her favorite eatery. She knew how to be a friend and would call to check on you even if it meant staying on the phone for hours or sending you a spiritual poem she wrote to uplift you. She always put others first and all her loving and caring ways will be deeply missed.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Rennie B. Grant, and Betty Grant.
Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Robert D. Adams; son, Thomas Grant; brothers, Billy Grant of Killeen, Leonard Grant(Patricia) of Corpus Christi, Anthony Grant of San Antonio and Donnell Grant of San Antonio; and numerous other loving Aunts, Uncles, close relatives and friends throughout Texas.
