Yolanda Patrizio, age 96, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025. She was born October 9, 1928, in San Benedetto in Perillis, Aquila, Italy, to the late Antonio Fontana and Adelina Marini. Yolanda left Italy after WWII for Argentina, after marrying her late husband of 56 years, Giuseppe Patrizio.
In Buenos Aires, she raised a family while working as a seamstress. Life planned for her to migrate one more time, this time to Brooklyn, New York, where she reunited with her extended family and with friends and neighbors from her native Italy. She worked for many years for a New York City luxury department store, before moving to San Antonio, Texas to enjoy her retirement years.
She will always be remembered for her strength, her loving spirit and her ability to recount the many stories of a life lived with joy while also overcoming some tough times.
Yolanda is survived by her daughter, Nina and husband, John, grandson, Antony and spouse, Jade, and grandchildren, Dante and Ember.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 10 AM to 11:00 AM at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Committal Services will be at 11:30 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow.
