Yolanda Reyna Ramirez

Yaya, as she was lovingly known by her family and friends, was born in Weslaco, Texas on May 22, 1950, to the late Juan and Ponciana Reyna. She married Alexandre Ramirez, Jr. in 1966. Alex and Yolanda have lived in San Antonio since 1997.

Yolanda was a dedicated wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her family and friends, embracing every moment with them. Yolanda was a proud military spouse who loved her country, as well as her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, Yolanda was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Reyna; and niece, Regina Lynne Valdez.

Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Alexandre Ramirez, Jr.; mother-in-law, Rosalva Cory; daughters and their husbands, Sylvia and Alan Boggess, and Denise and Juan Jose Leal; grandchildren, Alexandria Boggess, Christian Boggess, Alexandria Leal, Vivianna Leal, and Lourdes Leal; siblings, Guadalupe Bueno, Roberto Reyna, Juan Erasmo Reyna, Dalia Reyna, and Rosalinda Valdez; brother-in-law and his wife, Arnoldo and Patricia Ramirez; and many other family members and loved ones.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 beginning at 5:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

A Funeral Procession will depart Porter Loring Mortuary North on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 12:15 PM for Interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

Pallbearers (Honorary Pallbearers) will be Alan Trevor Boggess, Christian Trevor Boggess, Lionel Gonzalez, Juan Jose Leal, Luis Martinez and Jaime Ramirez.
