Yolanda was born on January 1, 1949, in San Antonio. She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church and a woman of strong faith who prayed the Rosary every day for her loved ones. She was a proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1968, and remained a devoted fan of her community and, most notably, the San Antonio Spurs. She married Rudolfo Tenorio, and together they built a loving family and a home for 51 years.
A dedicated homemaker for many years, Yolanda poured her heart into raising her family. Once her children were grown, she pursued a career as a Medical Assistant, a role that allowed her natural kindness and considerate nature to shine through in caring for others.
Described by all who knew her as funny, silly, and always laughing, she possessed an innate gift for making people feel loved. She was fiercely kind, thoughtful, considerate—a truly unforgettable soul. Her passions were simple and true: spending time with her beloved grandchildren brought her the greatest joy, and she could often be found tending to her plants, nurturing life just as she nurtured her family. Yolanda enjoyed a good piña colada or mimosa, as well as her reality TV, especially RuPaul's Drag Race and 90 Day Fiancé franchises.
Yolanda is preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Juarez, and her father, Gregorio Juarez.
She is survived by her husband, Rudolfo Tenorio; her daughter, Maricella Tenorio; her son, Raul Tenorio (Suzi); her stepson, John Tenorio (Mary); her sisters, Gloria Herrera and Margarita Rangel (Ray); her brother, Jorge Montes De Oca; her beloved grandchildren, Pablo Anguiano (Krystee), Lily Tenorio, and Francisco Carmona; and numerous other in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her love, laughter, and light will be profoundly missed by all her family.
