

Zoila Obregon Miller (Waltz), age 98, passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on January 16, 2024. She was born November 25, 1925, to her proud parents, Justo and Emilia Obergon. Zoila exemplified the meaning of selfless love and expressed care and kindness to everyone she encountered throughout her life. Zoila loved her family with great passion and unwavering devotion. She was the listening ear that her children and grandchildren leaned on to commiserate with about life’s hardships and to celebrate with in times of joy. Her warm heart and spirit live on through those that loved her, especially her sons and her granddaughters. Zoila spent the majority of her life in the service of others as the owner of a community finance and loan company. Her goal was to assure that clients had the means to meet the needs of their families. Zoila’s favorite pastime was gardening and sitting among the flowers. Beautiful floral arrangements, meticulously manicured lawns, butterflies crossing our paths, and birdsongs will evermore act as loving reminders of Zoila’s continual presence in her family’s life. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Waltz, and devoted son, George Miller. Survived by her loving sons, Anthony Miller and Charles Miller; granddaughters, Christen (David), Lauren, Elizabeth, and Julia; great granddaughters Carys and Ardyn. Interment service will be held at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #4).
