

Zeke Jourdan age 92, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle left his family to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in San Antonio, he was a character and loved by all who knew him.
He was born in San Antonio to ZP Jourdan and Edith Rylander. He attended Edgewood High School when he dropped out of the 10th grade at the age of 15 to enlist in the U.S. Navy to serve his Country in WWII (known as a WWII baby). He served 2 years in active duty on the USS Miller as a Gunner and participated in many engagements, to name a few: Assaults on the Philippine Islands, Iwo Jima Operation, Fifth and Third fleet raids in support of Okinawa Guto Operations, Capture and Occupation of Tinian, and many more. In the late 1950’s early 60’s he played Amateur Baseball in the Spanish American League here in San Antonio. He retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 39 years as a Quality Assurance Specialist completing assignments in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Spain, Libia and many other countries and within the US.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, his wife Mai Nguyen, his brother Pat (Big Bubba) Jourdan, sister Edith Ann Wheeler, and his sons Zachary Paul (Zeke) Jourdan and Bart Evan Jourdan.
He is survived by his daughter Jacquelyn Bridget Jourdan-BernhardGrandsons, Jimmy R Montgomery and Cody L MontgomeryGreat Grandson, Dylan S Montgomery and many nieces and nephews
