Zulema V. Peña was born on the family farm in Zuehl, Texas November 24, 1921 and passed away in Boerne, Texas March 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro Peña; father, Crescencio Valdez; mother, Paula M. Valdez; sister, Cecilia V. Alvarado; brothers, Manuel M. Valdez, Severiano Valdez, Crescencio Valdez, Jr., Jose M Valdez, Jesse Valdez. Surviving is her son, Israel Peña and wife, Patricia K. Peña; granddaughters, Kimberly J. McClelland, Adrianne R. Carnes, Sally E. Peña; great-grandchildren, Sterling P. McClelland, Brandon P. McClelland, Eric R. Carnes, Kennedy J. Carnes; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
