I just learned of the passing of Angel, My Heart goes out to the Family and Friends 💔. I knew Angel because he served in the Marines with my cousin George Cervantes. My Prayers are with you 🙏🙏🙏 May He Rest In Peace🛐

Over two years has gone by and your 76 birthday just went by and still hard to believe you are gone.  Tomorrow the guys and I are having our monthly brunch. We refer to ourselves as the OGs (OLD GUYS).  We will say our opening meal prayer in your honor.  Jack Valdez and I have not gone to the range since you departed because it is not the same without you!  Rest in Peace Marine!

So many good times, and memories of camping, And just getting together to have fun. So hard to say goodbye to someone that's been around most of your life.  Not only a childhood buddy but a Marine Brother. Always missed but never forgotten. SEMPRA FI.

Janice & Family-
Words cannot express how heartbroken I was to hear the news of Angel’s passing.  Many of us met Angel during activation of the prison in Victorville.  He was our “team leader” in the beginning, but we all quickly became a little family.  Angel watched out for each and every one of us, and made us better people.  He was one of the greatest people I’ve ever met, and Him & Janice were the epitome of the perfect couple.  May He Rest in Paradise until we all see him again!

Oh Janice, my heart is broken for you and me.  What a wonderful, kind, funny, loyal, man Angel was.  How I envied your love story but was thrilled it happened between you and Angel.  Such joy and happiness.  He became the father to your baby and the godfather to mine.  He was the first person I told I was having a boy.  I once left an inmate locked in the commissary when I went to lunch.  The inmate bus rolled up to the house.  One jumps out knocking on my door yelling I’d left “Country” inside.  I was petrified to tell Angel knowing I could be disciplined.  He waived his hand like no big deal and went on his way. I’m so sad.

Our sincere condolences to the Moyeda family, our hearts are broken, too. Angel you will be deeply missed by so many.  We were so blessed to have you in our life and are so great full for the wonderful memories, we’ve made together.  May you rest in Eternal peace, until we meet again.

We are so very heartbroken over the loss of your beloved husband and father. Bernie and I share your heartache as Bernie has lost not just a brother, but also a brother in arms, with whom he shared a military history and the struggles of serving in the Vietnam War. We pray that you are consoled by the many wonderful memories of all the great times you shared together, and that "Super" is at peace and no longer suffering. We love you so much...

Angel, this is Joe who without question knows my excellent Friend is now a real Angel in Heaven!  We had a lot of good memories within our sixty-one years of knowing each other ever since 1962 in the sevnth grade at Sturges Junior High where we had several classes together.  You are the type of person who is extremely dedicated to wife, children and grandchildren without a doubt.  You are a positive and caring person who helped out his friends and even those you recently met in your life.  I feel very bad knowing I will never see nor talk with you again and I can not even imagine how your loving Wife Janice and children feel.  You gave so much to your family because that is the way you are as a caring person who took his role with more love than anyone could give as a Husband, Father and Brother.  I will miss you very much especially our laughs in conversations about family, our schools, life, military, Bureau of Prisons and most of all life in general .  You and Janice did a lot in life with love and you both raised excellent children through tremendous love and sacrifice.  I am sad but mostly mad that you are no longer with those that love you.  Angel you are the best person I have ever met in my life and I love you "Angel Baby" in which you are Super!  Janice thank you for being Super's wife and mother to his children as you too are Super!

To Janice and family, I send you my deepest condolences. My first memory of Angel was at your home in Boron circa 1988 or 89... While traveling to San Bernardino, my mom and Joe  made an overnight visit to Boron to hang out. Joe and Angel stayed up all night drinking and playing music. I remember that Angel was so passionate about his music. He made my mom a cassette that night with The Dells, & Teddy Pendergrass. My parents played this cassette over and over on every road trip for the next 10 years... Til this day those songs that Angel put on the cassette still get played in my car! RIP Angel
