In Loving Memory of Anthony Louis Bocanegra Born: December 6, 1932 Passed: November 7, 2025 Anthony Louis “Tony” Bocanegra passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born on December 6, 1932, to Guadalupe Casillas and Louis Bocanegra. He was one of five children, growing up alongside his sisters Mary Louise (Loli), Rita, and Inez, and his brother Martin. More than anything, Tony loved his family — the Bocanegra, Lopez, Gutierrez, and Saenz families were always at the center of his heart. He was a devoted Catholic who faithfully attended Mass every day for many years after his retirement. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Tony was the perfect example of a true family patriarch. He devoted his life to caring for others and to his loving wife, Gloria, with whom he shared 70 wonderful years. After Gloria’s passing in July, those closest to him knew he wouldn’t be far behind, as she was the love of his life.
Tony is survived by his daughters Lisa Fabian (Zoltan) and Renee Gianni (Jeff); his sons Marty and Anthony; his grandsons Drew and David Fabian, Robbie and Alec Bocanegra, and Anthony Molina; and his great-granddaughter Willow. Tony lived a long and wonderful life, just one month shy of his 93rd birthday. He was very active in the community and had many accomplishments — one of which he was most proud of was his involvement with Symphonia Mexicana. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, gentle heart, and the love he shared so freely with all who knew him.
