It is with deep sadness, yet with the hope and peace found in Jesus Christ, that we announce the passing of Betty Torres, who went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2026, at the age of 88.
Betty was born on October 24, 1937, in Fontana, California. She lived a life centered on faith, love, and family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Betty was the beloved wife of Frank Torres, with whom she shared many wonderful years of love, companionship, and cherished memories until his passing. Together they especially enjoyed taking trips to the casino, creating moments filled with laughter and joy.
She was a devoted mother to her four sons: Frankie Torres and his wife, Virginia; Freddie Torres and his partner, Denise; Mario Torres and his wife, Lillie; and Marty Torres and his wife, Lynn. She also loved her stepson, Terry, and stepdaughter, Donna, as part of her family.
Betty’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than having everyone together. Whether it was celebrating holidays, sharing meals, or simply spending time with her children and grandchildren, she treasured every moment surrounded by those she loved.
As a woman of faith, Betty trusted in the Lord throughout her life. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, reunited with her beloved husband, Frank, and rejoicing in the glory of Heaven.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in God’s promise of eternal life. Betty’s legacy of faith, love, compassion, and dedication to her family will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. While we mourn her absence, we take comfort in the promise that because of her faith in Christ, this is not goodbye but until we meet again.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
