Bettye Joe Wood

Bettye Joe Wood born June 8, 1933 to Gus and Desire Egans in Ringgold, Louisiana. Bettye accepted Christ early in life at Israelite Baptist Church in Ringgold, Louisiana. She later moved to California and joined Paradise Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. Her parents and eight siblings preceded her in death.

Bettye married Albert Wood September 15, 1956 who preceded her in death. Bettye worked over 13 years for Mattels and 29 1/2 years for the United States Postal Service where she retired.

Bettye went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2011. Her spirit went and her earthly body remains for our celebration.

Left to celebrate her life , her two daughters Connie Egans and Annette Larry of San Bernardino, CA, son-in-law Arthur Larry of Rodessa, LA, grandson; Tyrone D. Delifus and step grandchildren; Nathan, Nekisha, Arthur, Kevin Larry, her sisters; Ruthie D. Mackaray of Ringgold, LA, and Erma Jean Sanderson of Los Angeles, CA. brother; Billy Ray Egans , sister-in-law; Lizzie Egans, sister-in-law; Mary Egans, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many more. Arrangements under the direction of Mountain View Mortuary, San Bernardino, CA.
