Carol Scott

On October 14, 1946, Carol and Harold (deceased) were born to Othal and Sammie Burns in Fort Worth, Texas. At the age of ten, Carol and her family moved to Los Angeles, California. During her life in Los Angeles, Carol was raised in a loving home and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord Savior.

Carol was a very sweet and intelligent person. Carol attended Markham Jr. High School and went on to graduate from Jordan High School in Los Angeles.

Carol worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant and went on working as a private duty nurse until she had a massive stroke that forced her to early retirement.

Carol loved life and was always the life of the party. Carol loved to dance and listen to her music and playing cards. Carol really loved her family. Carol was called home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2021 at 4:37pm. She is preceded in death by her parents Othal and Sammie as well as her six siblings, Lena Faye, Othal (Bubba), Don, Robert, David and Harold.

Carol leaves her legacy of sweet memories to be cherished by her family. She is survived by her 3 children Deborah Simmons (Winn), Kim Brown (Marven), Gordon Scruggs Jr., 8 grandchildren Porsché, Deon, Ashley, Kamar, Kasean, Elijah, Angel, Cassie, 11 great grandchildren and her sister Diane Burns Smith, brother Reginald Burns, Brother-in-law Harry Smith along with a host of nieces, nephews, family members relatives and friends.
