Conrad was a member of the International Stereotypers and Electrotypers Union. The ACME Colorprint Company closed after he had worked there for twenty years. After ACME closed Conrad got a job with the United States Postal Service and did a variety of jobs working out of the San Bernardino and Riverside offices for seventeen years.
