

A visitation for Curtis will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery.
Curtis was born in Calipatria California, September 6, 1936 to Isom and Katherine. Curtis has one younger brother, Casper. He moved from from Calipatria, Ca to Los Angeles at age 4. He lived in Los Angeles for about one year, later moved to San Bernardino. Graduated from San Bernardino High School. While he attended High School he was involved in the track team as well as the basketball team. At age 19 he got a job working at Norton Air Force Base. Curtis met his beautiful wife Alma on a trip to Fresno. They got married in 1957 they were married for over 60 years. After, he began working at the Marine Corps Base in Barstow. He retired after working at the base for 30 years. He has two beautiful daughters; Rhonda Laverne, Lisa Yvette and Son, Curtis Lamar. He has three Grandson's and one granddaughter and four great grandchildren. He loved fishing and Curtis has traveled to Alaska several times to go fishing ,deep sea fishing in Mexico, went fishing in Channel Island and did a lot of fishing in San Diego. He has caught a lot a lot of fish in his life time. He also enjoyed watching track, boxing, watching his favorite football team. The Rams, "they are old school" and the 49ers, Kansas City. Curtis traveled to Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska and the Caribbean's. He loved old school music from the 50's & 60's. Curtis will was loved by his Family and will be dearly missed.
