Retired Conductor Union Pacific Railroad 73, of Caldwell Idaho died in a vehicle collision in Cajon Pass California, Tuesday December 23rd. A native of San Bernardino California. Dan lived in the Pacific Northwest 52 years. A true mountain man. He made his final home in Caldwell, Idaho. He was a Conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad (Freight). Daniel carried the tradition of Railroad men on both the Kelleher and Taggart sides of the family. Railroading was in his blood. Dan's passion for nature was enhanced by his numerous road trips with friends on their Harleys. The true expression of peace and freedom riding through God's amazing creations. Rising in the mornings to colorful sunrises and resting when the sun sets. Daniel was always proud of his American, English, Irish, and Scottish heritage. He definitely inherited his height from the Vikings who invaded the British Isles. Dan was a devoted Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend while on Earth, and now in Heaven. We all have the knowledge his spirit is always with us and that he is watching over us. Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Joan Kelleher, brothers Francis and Terrance. Survivors include a sister Kathleen Kelleher Villegas and brother in-law Roy of Beaumont California; 1 niece, 2 nephews, 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews, 1 great great niece, and 1 great great nephew. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thank you for all the love and support during the loss of our Dear Brother.
