Darla Denice Stern

Darla was born in Amarillo, Texas to Barbara Sue and Joe Wesley Smith. She spent half of her childhood in Amarillo and graduated from Zap high school in Zap, North Dakota in 1981. She married Dean Stern and had 2 sons, Shelby Dean and Cody Ryan. After a few more years in Amarillo, she completed her life in San Bernardino, California and had a daughter Amanda Ettie.

She had a career as a realtor and notary. She loved hiking, concerts, traveling, all things Texas, especially the Cowboys, 80s rock and roll, country music, friends, family, and her beloved dog, Daisy. She was met in heaven by her parents, Sue and Joe; step parent, Jon; 3 brothers, Terri Glen, Joel Wayne, and Charlie Ray and many cousins.

She is survived by her 3 children, Shelby and his wife Sarah Stern of Beulah, ND; Cody and his wife Sarah Stern of Mandan, ND; Daughter Amanda and her husband Nathan Lesnick of Tulsa, Ok; 5 grandkids, Logen, Stella, Delanie, Hudson and Brecken of North Dakota, and a little one on the way in Oklahoma; her Sister, Sherry and John Cortez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life to be determined at a later date in Amarillo, Texas.
