

Debbie was the second child of seven children born to Willie and Kanzetta Wiggin on August 2, 1948. She was baptized in Christ at All Nation Baptist Church at an early age by the Reverend D.L. Spigner Jr. of Los Angeles, California. She attended St. Otileas grade school and Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1966. Debbie was highly intellectual and landed a job working for a IBM data processing Co. of Downtown LA. She also held other successful jobs until she married in 1972 to Larthan L. Merriweather. To this union to boys were born, one of which passed away from meningitis at seven months of her husband also preceded her in death. Debbie was a strong willed woman. She loved to bake cakes, her signature cake was a 3 layered coconut cake, it was huge and pretty. Se could cook anything dhr put her mind ton and her food always came out delicious. She also loved art, she was pretty good at it. she loved her western movies and The Price is Right. She will be missed by her family and her senior family. We all loved her. Debbie was called home June 1, 20223 to be with the Lord. No more pain, no more suffering. Debbie leaves to cherish her memories, three children. Larthan L. Merriweather, Gerald L Jones and Kanzetta Dixon. Three sisters, Dolores Dysart, Janette Edwards, Lisa L. Velazquez and brother,, Tony Wiggins of whom she helped raise. Five grandchildren, Brian Sanchez, Marcel Jones, Gerald Jones, Savannah JOnes, and Ritchie Jones. Her best friend and companion for thirty years Dennis Carpenter. Two brother in laws, Dwayne Edwards and Jessie Velazquez. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends all of whom she loved.
