That was my brother in arms and always will be. We serve together for USS CV64 Constellation and I got a chance to know him very well. We met over 22 years ago and I kept in touch with him even through his darkest moments. This really saddens me because the pain of losing a shipmate is deeper than losing a friend, I lost a brother. That's me and the gray with my hands in the air. We were in Iraq, D and I took a cab to Saudi Arabia and we got a hotel room there and stayed the night and it was one of the greatest experiences that we have ever encountered in a new country. We were surprised that the room only cost $75 and when we went inside it looked like a mansion, there was a huge bowl of fruit on the dresser and two big king size beds better than anything I've ever seen in the United States. Geiger was a really good guy and I miss him.

Dejon it breaks my heart that you were taken so unexpectedly. Your memory will never leave us and live long in our hearts Cousin we will miss you and watch over all of us Love you  and you will never be forgotten I wish you could have meet you little cousin Jr but I know you will always watch over him this isn’t Goodbye it’s see you later I will always cherish and remember the good times we all had together as a family we love you so much

Being able to reconnect with him via Facebook and speaking to him on a few phone call conversations about his faith in Yah was amazing.  It only leads me to know that his absence here on earth only validates his Presence with Yahweh.

Cousin I lost the phone with use my granddaughter had it but I love you and you will never be forgotten. I wanted to tell you the Most High is gonna be pleased with your beard you never trimmed it. You kept some of the Laws with you not even noticing it because the Most High knows you better than anybody he is the all knowing and he got your back may my cousin rise again. We started our Naval careers together on APR 24th 2000.,  And have been brothers every since.  Hawk & D. Inseparable.  We had each other’s back since day 1. D was the definition of a REAL ONE! We had a bond that only we understood. You will forever be in my Heart D I love you bro! 

My favorite memories of you were our family dinners on Sundays. Cousin I’m so Devastated hearing the news you passed away but i know you will enjoy Heaven as much as you did on earth I love you so much until we meet again ❤️🕊️

Rest In Paradise D, You were an amazing person with a unique soul. Our high school times were full of laughs and great memories! Praying for your family and all of your friends at this difficult time.

When he found out I was coming to Virginia, he told me to go to his house, and he'll show me around and help me find a place—stayed true to his word! D. Geiger, man it was a blessing to have known you. You were one of the first people I met on the Connie and I just remember you having so much swag and being so chill. Your uniform was always pristine, I swear your boots were so glossy someone could shave in the reflection lol. On top of that you were always 100%, kept it real (good or bad) and was always willing to give a helping hand no matter the situation. 

I was just a young buck when I met you, still a kid at the time so for me and many others you were like an OG to us and that thought of you never changed. 

May your soul be at peace, we have the watch now, till next time my friend.
