

Born on March 9, 1935, in San Bernardino, California, to Isabel and Cruz Pacheco. Esther remained a lifelong resident of the City of San Bernardino. She attended and graduated from San Bernardino High School. She spent the next 45+ years doing a job that she loved and was extremely proud of as an employee for the Federal Government at Norton Air Force Base. While working at Norton, she attended San Bernardino Valley College and received her AA in Accounting and graduated with her brother and sister, Alex and Virginia. Esther eventually retired in 2001 as an Accounting Supervisor in the DFAS Division.
Esther was a proud three-time President of the FOE Eagles #506 Ladies Auxiliary and remained involved until early 2005. Esther was also a faithful contributor to the Wounded Warrior program and Our Lady of Fatima.
Esther met her beloved husband Manuel in a business trip to New Mexico. Their early days together were filled with many memories of spending the weekends, watching the man she loved play guitar throughout the Inland Empire.
Esther was preceded in death by her beloved sisters; Ida Padilla, Helen Ortega, Lupe Martherus, and Virginia Fisher; her brothers, Thomas Pacheco, Robert Pacheco, and Edward Pacheco. Esther is survived by her brother Alex Pacheco; Brother in Law, Wayne Fisher; daughters, Debra Sermeno and Cathy Martinez; son, Frank Martinez and Daughter in Law Michi Martinez; grandsons, Christopher Sermeno, Angel and Barbara Sermeno, Kevin and Monique Coghlan, Timothy Sermeno; granddaughter Elizabeth Sermeno; great grandchildren, Alyssa (Sermeno) Preciado, Bryan Preciado, Miranda (Sermeno) Sanchez, JoeRick Sanchez, Layla Sermeno, Timothy Sermeno, Gabriel Sermeno; great great grandsons, Evan and Luke Preciado and many nieces and nephews.
Mama, we appreciate everything you did for us and for who you were. It was an honor to have you, share our lives with you and to love you unconditionally. Give our love to all those upstairs. You are home.....
