I just found out about Georgie’s passing. His dad and my dad were cousins, and I have many memories from when our families visited each other. So sorry for your family’s loss.

Wow...Looking through these pictures I saw my arm. I remember going to his house the day of prom. I remember him all dressed up as handsome as could be. 

So many memories came flooding back. Dancing and singing Hotel California. Late-night drives with Rob in the Bettle.  It was such a gift to know George and be in his presence. My heart goes out to his girls.

George was the coolest cousin anyone could ask for. Growing up I would often hear my parents telling stories of Georgie and Allison those stories still make me laugh even though I wasn’t there to experience them. I have so many great memories that I will treasure forever.  This year I reached out to George when my dad got sick and I knew things were bad he was one of the first people I reached out to. Even though we had lost touch for a few years he was right there for me when I needed family the most. I know he loved my dad just as much as my dad loved him. I can’t thank him enough for showing me kindness and love . He touched my soul and made me believe in family again. I will always miss his smile and laugh.  The Subacz and Dickinson family send all our love to George , his beautiful girls Brooklyn , lyric.  Mary and Allison we love you and will always be here for you. 

George, you were my first Love. Every time I saw you next to our high school lockers I couldn’t wait to meet with your beautiful blues and flirt and feel that sweet warm heart of yours. I always felt so loved by you and so seen. You were the perfect reflection for me to gain confidence in myself at such a young age.
Iam So deeply grateful we got to share our love and friendship, loving words and got to feel each other’s  care  these last two years. 
I can still hear your voice. That sweet baritone that sends such warmth and comfort  to all my heart and soul.  Oh George, I wish I could have have been by your side and loved you. 

I joyed in seeing you raise Brooklynn and Lyric. All the pictures.  Sweet and Silly Fun Pappa , Your most creative artwork was creating a beautiful world for your girls , they are  apart of your legacy and they shine so bright because of you. 
You live on thru the thoughts and hearts of all those you’ve touched my friend. Always alive and more beautiful than ever. I love you.  

Oh my, this is so rough. But here I go.
  So many memories, like when he was 4 years old. We would talk about heaven, and he told me, momma, I don’t want to be here anymore. I just want to go straight to heaven. But I asked him to stay awhile. He would get there soon enough.
   Georgie was so in love with music, he felt every cord, he found comfort in it.
   He had artful skills,
 we wish we could know.
He loved hard, played hard, worked hard!
  His girls, Brooklynn and Lyric were the true loves in his life.
  We had so many great talks, he was in a good place and felt like God was truly blessing him.
  We were so close and understood each other so much.
   Every time we saw each other we hugged, and always said I love you!
 I know he would say to me, stay strong, be of good courage. This is just a new chapter.
   There will always be a hole in my heart, until I can see him again.

As usual you were on George time ... You showed up just before my wedding ceremony was about to start. 
I had to wait until after to say hello which is why I pinched your butt ... right before the photo was taken. I miss you brother. I had hoped we'd catch eachother on another rotation of the planet .. I'll see you on the other side... keep the beers cold .. 

                                       July 4 2020
     Covid closed down the holiday— no fireworks….
George and Barry offered to play music on my back deck! They were going to play just a few songs that they had practiced together, But after a few beers and some shots of fireball—- Hours had passed——- George shined —- He was a star!!! He kept playing and singing for hours!    Good times we’re had by all!  Very talented young man! 
          He will always be my  “shining star “     Miss you George!


George was my first best friend. I was his.

We fought by day and would end up spending late nights together talking. I taught him to cover his head at bedtime to keep monsters away. I taught him to drive my stick shift. I taught him to spike his hair and showed him what to wear.  I gave him my drawing table and my Beastie Boys cassette tape.

Later he taught me what not to wear! He told me not to make my 80s bangs bigger! Somehow he was now cooler than me!

We had fun older years. Restaurants, movies, shopping and trips. I was his first girlfriend and we were inseparable it seemed.

Then we grew up. Our own stories and paths unfolding.

As I flew in the plain August 26th I felt a part of me was dying. I won't ever be able to explain to anyone how real it was, while he slipped away that evening into what I now know was non-responsiveness and kidney failure, in those hours as he let go, a part of my was dying too. I prayed and hoped that feeling was just worry. Deep down I knew he was leaving me, and as he was leaving, a part of me was leaving too. A bond unexplainable that is supernatural, timeless, unbreakable.

When I saw him in the hospital the next morning, it was his body, his hand I held, his hair (oh that awesome crazy curly hair) that I smelled, his face I kissed...but he was gone. He left me when I was still on the plain and I felt the leaving, and a part of me went with him.

I was praying and thinking of him a couple weeks ago. It hit me again, a sense of divine heavenly inspiration that you can't convince anyone of, you just know it. This still soft voice telling me its all ok and a part of me did die that plan trip. That big part of me that went missing is in heaven. 
George is free!

I see George in Lyric's smile, I hear him in Brooklynn's voice, I feel him when I kiss and hug my son. He liked to tell me it's okay to cry, to risk, to love hard.

He reminded me again Aug 27..it's ok to let go and be free.
