On behalf of my son, Ryan and I, Uncle Gilbert will truly be missed. When we met, up for gatherings , he would always talk about two topics. His children/granddaughters and his job. He shared the many sacrifices he endured caring and raising his children on his own. He was proud to see the outcome of being a father and mister Mom. He was proud of his daughters level of independence and her strength as a woman. His son stood by his side at home. He adored his granddaughters and gave them lots of love . Uncle enjoyed his job and always had a sense of work ethics and loyalty to Caltrans. I enjoyed hearing about the projects he was involved with. Uncle Gilbert also spoke a lot about my dad and admired him for who he was as a person. You were always a humble man, never wanted Amy trouble and when we met up for family gatherings, he was always cracking a joke, smoking a cigarette and his beer. Now, you are reunited with my dad and your nephew along with other family members. Rejoice and rest now. You earned your time here on earth now to be rewarded with Christ . God Bkess you Uncle Gilbert, love Gina

Sorry about your loss, he was a great man and worked together and had some fun times. He was always upbeat and very respectful and funny as well. I sat next to him when he ate his Famous Amos Cookie breakfast. He loved his lotto tickets and the casino. I always enjoyed being around him at work like the rest of us Caltrans people. Great man and a great loss.
