Gloria Bocanegra

Born: July 8, 1934 - Passed: July 18, 2025

Gloria Elizabeth Avila Bocanegra passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted Catholic, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Born to Raymond and Catherine Avila, Gloria carried their values of faith, compassion, and family throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Anthony (Tony) Bocanegra; her children Lisa Marie Fabian, Martin Bocanegra, Anthony Bocanegra, and Maria Renee Gianni (Jeff); her grandsons Drew, David, Anthony, and Robbie; and great-granddaughter Willow.

Dedication to service marked Gloria's life she worked for the County of San Bernardino for over 30 years with integrity and grace. She is preceded in death by her sister Lucille, and is survived by siblings Raymond, Edward, Linda, Cecelia, and Cathy.

Gloria was a talented painter, sharing her beautiful artwork and creative spirit generously. Her passion for art reflected her warmth, resilience, and joyful soul.

A rosary for Gloria will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 115 W Olive Ave, Redlands, CA 92373.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 115 W Olive Ave, Redlands, CA 92373.

A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
