Irene Gomez Homenick

Irene was born on October 27, 1932 in San Bernardino, California. She was the oldest child of John and Lupe Martinez. Irene had wo younger brothers, John Martinez Kr. (Sonny) and Albino Martinez (Buddy).

Over the years Irene lived for brief periods in Michigan and Alabama, but spent most of her life in California. Over the years she worked a variety of jobs including airplane maintenance at Norton Air Force Base and as an office manager for the San Bernardino County Housing Authority.

Irene was a strong-willed, independent woman of faith, with a great sense of humor. She loved and was beloved by her family and friends.

Irene was preceded in death by father, mother and her two brothers. She is survived by her son Theodore Homenick Jr. of Sherwood, Oregon, her daughter Sharon Christianson of Highland, California, along with grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
