I met Irene when I was 16 years old when she lived on Lugo Street. I loved to visit her and her two kids, Mary Helen and Eraina. She was always friendly to me. Then I met her brother Victor . She told me not to marry him but I did. She became my protector and my comforter. I was always welcomed in her home and she would put her brother in his place. Through the years I would visit her and her kids. When I returned from Arizona it felt like I never left. Before she became real sick I would take her to the doctor, shopping paying bills and we would always stop to eat at different restaurants. We would pray for our families especially the children. Then as her health was failing I would see her at home and her daughters always had something for us to eat.  Before I left I would say I love you and she said I love  you too. I will truly miss my sister and dear

Grandma K Mart - Irene want to say thank you for showing my daughter Valerie how to cook real Mexican food and showing  my grandkids Bryona Robert and Jesse so much luv. Amazing woman you are. You had so much knowledge, so much luv. Many will take with them and your memory will live on. I pray to God that he gives your family strength and to remember his promise that we will see you again So rest til than great lady 😘🌹

Grandma it's hard to write this cuz honestly I never that this day would come. I remember as a little kid my mom would always tell us "when we go to grandma's don't ask for nothing don't bug you sit down and behave or go play". When we got there my grandma would say mija get what you want in the fridge theres plenty. I would look at my mom like is that ok lol. And my grandma would say " don't look at your mom if you want something go get it and my mom would give a evil look lol and grandma said "if you don't get what you want I'm gonna hit you" and mom was gonna hit me  for doing it, so I thought ok I might as well lol Grandma was something else smh. 

So many memories and special lifetime moments we shared together. You were there for me whenever I was in trouble, you were there for me whenever I was sad and hurting, you were there when I was sick, you were there during my addictions and you never judged me. All you ever did was love me. You loved me with instruction, you loved me with direction, you loved me with the kind of wisdom only you could give me and ended it always with that beautiful but stern smile that I always craved and yearned for. You were always my home away from home you never said no and never turned me away. You always made me feel important and valued as if I were your very own son. There will always be an empty hole in my heart without you but I know that we will be together again when I too will be called home and be glorified with you in heaven. So thank you my loving sister for being there for me and taking care of me like only you could and would. Always in my heart.

Thank you grandma for teaching me how to pay bill at such a early age. Teaching me to be a responsible mother. Love and miss you so much. 

My condolences to you all. The girls, John-John and myself truly loved her! Time on earth is always taken for granted. I am grateful for the many conversations I had with her as an in-law. May she rest in paradise. We love you Grandma K-mart and you will forever be missed. -Rena
