March 11th 1927- April 4th 2019 John was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. He joined the Navy at age 17 for 2 years and then joined the Air Force and retired after 25 years of service. John also retired from the San Bernardino School District. His residence for the past 54 years has been in Highland, California. He was a devoted husband for 62 years to our mother Evangelina Martinez who passed away in April of 2010.
John is survived by his 2 children: Doris Douglas and John Martinez, and 4 grandchildren: Johnny Bryan, Joshua Bryan and his wife Jenny Bryan, Kimberly Douglas, and Rayden Spurlock. Also 3 great grandchildren: Lilly Bryan, Frankie Bryan, and Henry Bryan.
John was loved by many and we will miss him. We love you dad very much.
The viewing will be held on Monday April 22nd, 2019 at Mt. View Mortuary in San Bernardino from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday April 23rd, 2019 at St. Adelaide Catholic Church in Highland California. Interment will be held in Riverside National Cemetery.
