Hearing about Joe's passing shocked me. Anytime I reached out to him needing help in the California area, it always felt as if he recognized me personally and would instantly be available for whatever I needed help with at the time. He was, and always will be dependable, hardworking, and kind. Only wish I had gotten to meet him to personally thank him for all the times he assisted us over at JB Road Service. My condolences to his family, and friends that had known him personally. He will be dearly missed.

Another memory I have of Joe was shortly after he started his own business. Joe was having a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day that day. If anything could go wrong, it did. He ended the day by sending me a photo of his foot in a grease can shoe and all.  It was the perfect ending to his perfect day but at least he was able to laugh about it. I'm going to miss his laugh!

I will never forget the day Joe called and told me that an actress had been stabbed and asked if I had heard. He said, "Yeah...what was her name? Reese? Reese?".  I replied "Witherspoon??" and he quickly said, "No! With a knife!" I got it immediately and I just sat there quiet for several seconds and then I was like..."I can't believe you Joe. I can't believe you told me that joke. That was awful!" all the while we both were laughing so hard. Now I tell the joke as an ode to Joe : )

Joe was my go to tech when he worked for another company and I remember asking him if he was ready to go out on his own since he was doing it all anyway.  Everyone here are JB Hunt knew who he was and knew who to call if we ever needed anything. I wish I could have had 10 more of him.  I already miss our lengthy chats. I used to tell him I was going to start charging for his sessions and there were times i would call and tell him it was my time for a session and to suck it up and listen.  To the family, my deepest sympathy. Your dad/granddad loved you more than life itself. You were why he busted his tail day in and out. He wanted a better future for you. He always spoke of you all often, so much that I felt like I knew you myself.

Thank you all the hard work you have done for JB Hunt. You will be greatly missed.

Lupe , We love you and feel so blessed to have you as my brother💕 thank you for the immense impact you made in my life and Zion’s. Rest in Peace in paradise .  I will make you proud because I have you as an angel .
