Our dear Kathy Tantardino, 58, a lifelong resident of Colton, CA, passed away on May 22, 2020. She was at home surrounded by her family and friends. She fought a courageous battle this last year and became very tired. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colton. Kathy also volunteered many service hours at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church and School in Rialto, while her daughter Vanessa attended K - 8th grade. Here she made many loving friends.
Kathy loved to cook for all of her family and friends, and Mexican cuisine was her specialty. That Lemon Parfait, which was one of her secret recipes, was a favorite of all. Everyone always wanted her to make them salsa for their special occasions.
Kathy graduated from Colton High School, ℅ ‘79. During High School she worked for Congressman George E. Brown, Jr. in his Colton office. She attended SBVC and graduated from United Health Careers College. She was a medical processor/auditor for many medical insurance companies for over 35 years. During these years she worked for Blue Shield, SBMG, Aetna and lastly Agilion.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Gabriel and Vera Tantardino, and brothers Frankie Tantardino and Victor Tantardino. She is survived by her daughter Vanessa Avila; sister, Sherry Jackson; nephews, Derek Jackson and Marc Jackson; niece, Erin Jackson and her precious GREAT niece, Alanah Jackson. She is also survived by her Uncle RJ Tantardini, Aunt Blondie DiBella and a host of cousins and lifelong friends.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks for the wonderful care provided by the nurses at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Fontana during this quarantine. We also would like to thank the many friends for their generous love and support.
God has you in his arms,

She will be laid to rest at Mt. View Cemetery on Thursday June 11, 2020 at 12:15pm.
