The Broken Chain

We little knew that day 
that God was going 
to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

but as God calls us one by one,

To family and friends, Irene, Matt;
I was deeply upset to read that Ken died. The fond memories I have are at Cal State, and at your house barbqueing on the 4th of July. It was great fun remembering how we all grew up, and our relationships with family now! There were plently of hysterical stories he would share about family, and many so sad. I hope he left knowing who truly loved him, which in the bible says,"Love is the greatest gift of all".

Kenny was a long time friend. He will be missed.

Both my prayers and sympathy to your family. Kenny was a great man. Once I got the privilege to actually sit down and talk to Kenny and get to know him, I was able to see just how proud he was of his family and how much he cherished and loved them. Being accepted into this family began with Uncle Kenny. I feel so blessed to have been able to have known Kenny. His kind words and even more, his kind actions have touched so many people. 

Romans 8:38-39: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Mr. Puentez, I never got the chance to meet you but I do know you are a wonderful man inside because I see you through your family - Jaime, Kenny and Deena. As you see, nature and nurture go hand in hand, helping to mold the loved ones around you. Leave this earth in peace knowing you were not alone in the end and that you have left good people who do love and care for you. My condolences to the family. My prayers go out to you.

Kenny & family - Although I cannot quote a fancy poem, I must say what a huge impact Kenny had on so many in his short life.

The obituary states the facts, but what it doesn't say is that Ken was a good loving caring, Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Nino, Compadre, Cunado, neighbor, co-worker and friend.

What I want all to know is Ken was a good person, everyone wanted to be like Kenny, so many admired him and his personality.

To go on without saying Ken was loved and will be deeply missed would be a sin.

I pray you have found peace, mercy and blessings.  May your family hold the memory of your smile in their hearts, we will.  Rest in Peace - with Love...see you Cunado!
