

Lorenzo (aka Larry), 92 years old, was born on August 10, 1924 in San Bernardino, Ca., and died on July 13, 2017 in San Diego, Ca. He lived all his life in California except for the period when he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Larry served in Patton's Army, landing in Omaha Beach as part of the Normandy Invasion by the allied forces and served in General Eisenhowers's headquarters in England.
Larry was one of 16 children born to Apolonio and Susana Trujillo, long time residents of San Bernardino. Larry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris Trujillo, his son Larry Trujillo, Jr. of Escondido, Ca., Mrs. Gloria (Greg) Walters, and Mrs. Maria (Nate) Farries, both of San Diego, Ca. Larry and Doris were blessed with 7 grandchildren, Larry III, Paul, Jesse, Talia, Ashanti, Eric and Nathaniel Jr. Also, 7 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Vincent, Tristen, Justis, Cristian, Olivia and Adonis. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Larry went into the grocery business after serving in the U.S. Army working for several grocery chains as the Produce Department Manager and retired on January 1, 1985 from the Alpha Beta Market in San Diego, Ca. He attended grammar and secondary schools in San Bernardino before joining the U.S. Army at the age of 16. He was active in sports all his life and set an example of a healthy and full life for family and friends.
His brother Edward Trujillo of Rolling Hills Estates, Ca., and sisters Victoria Johnson of San Bernardino Ca., Mrs. Esther Kahancza of San Bernardino,Ca., Mrs. Aurora Kellerman of Oceanside Ca., Mrs. Rachel Coughlin of San Diego, Ca., and Mrs. Susana Rather of Tacoma, Wa. survive him. Larry is preceded in death by his first daughter, Gloria Trujillo.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery on Thursday, August 3rd. Celebration of Larry's life will be held at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery from 12:00pm to 2pm on August 4th, where he will also be laid to rest.
